Usually, after all accounts have been deleted, there will be one main account left to run all Google sync features, such as Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and so on.
With the presence of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, also known as Android 4.0, Google includes a function to delete all existing accounts on a device.
Unfortunately, if you have an Android device with Gingerbread or Android 2.3 versions down, the only way to delete the primary Google account is to factory default reset. It keeps all the data and installed apps erased.
On some Android smartphones and tablets, this can be easily done, as it is instantly available on the settings screen. Unfortunately this does not apply to some other brands that use a standard Android operating system. To perform a Google account deletion on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean, you can do the following:
1. Go to Settings, navigate to the personal section, go to Accounts & Sync. You will find your main Android account. Click on the account
2. Well, it is in this section that often the users find it difficult to find it. On your Android device, just hit the Menu button. If you are confused, this menu button usually lies at the bottom of your Android device's screen.
3. After the menu appears, just hit Remove account on the menu. After that, a message will appear that deleting the primary account will delete all messages, contacts and other data from your device. Press Remove account to continue.
4. After that, then the main account has been deleted on your device. To be able to sign back in to Google Play, you must enter a Google account on this device.
