Death of the international director and actor David Lynch
The family of the international director and actor David Lynch announced his departure from our world in a tweet published via his personal account on the X website, announcing his departure this morning at the age of 78, leaving a large archive in the world of cinema, drama and directing.
The Lynch family wrote via X: "With deep regret, we, his family, announce the death of the artist David Lynch, and we would like to have some privacy at this time, as the world is now in a state of great emptiness after his departure from us."
Director David Lynch has previously stated that he is "not interested" in the upcoming remake of his 1984 film Dune, starring Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides and directed by Denis Villeneuve.
Asked by the Hollywood Reporter about his opinion on the first images released for the film, Lynch said, "I have no great interest in the new work.
" When pressed, Lynch revealed, "Because my experience with the film was harsh, as it failed greatly, and this is not the first time I have spoken about this work, and it was not a film that I wanted to be mentioned as my work, although I love certain parts of it, but for me it was a failure."
Lynch's film was notorious for its negative reviews, and it is one of his few projects that received negative feedback and box office losses, as it was an impractical project that suffered from many problems, the first of which was that Lynch's film was 3 hours long, unlike the new version, which will only be 136 minutes long.
